Abstract Bess Malin Laderman was born April 2, 1911 in a small village near Kiev, Ukraine. Bess Malin moved to Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 12 and attended public schools and college in Kansas City. She married Rabbi Manuel Laderman in 1933 and the couple moved to Denver, where Rabbi Laderman became the first rabbi of the Hebrew Educational Alliance in 1932. Abstract In 1926, Beth David Sisterhood was founded in an effort to create a new Hebrew school and Jewish social center for the West Colfax area of Denver, Colorado. The Beth David Hebrew School and Center met at the home of the Reverend and Mrs. Jacob Gordon at 1490 Julian Street. Congregation Micah Sisterhood Records

The Sisterhood of Congregation Micah was a unit in the congregation until 1976. Membership declined during the 1960s and in 1976 the Congregation sold their buildings to the Mount Gilead Baptist Church and the Sisterhood ceased to exist.
